Incredible savings. Pricing across the site has been radically reduced, offering fine instruments at bargain levels. This sale will be in effect for the winter season and then revert to regular retail with the arrival of new stock.

Expected incoming guitars include two beauties from Ross Gutmeier, one a cedar double top and the second a traditional Santos model. Noted Brazilian luthier Clayton Fernandes is finishing a fine lattice model, due soon.

The Turkiowiaks are offering their powerful double tops in a studio model, incorporating all the most essential aspects of power and playability less nonessential aesthetic elements. Their offset sound hole design is the next big step after lattice and double top design. A recent buyer commented: "Fantastic! More guitarists need his instruments. I’m still blown away every time I play this guitar. I played it in a large concert hall and projection is in no way an issue. Simply incredible."

My obvious investment in the Turkowiak line means I see no better value anywhere in the classical double top guitar market.  The energy and clarity they possess is significant.  Know that there are a number of instruments in cedar and spruce that are available, beyond those listed on the site. Please inquire.

Come visit Chartwell Guitar to sample what I think is a great lineup of affordable concert level guitars.  It's easy to ship for a trial period as well.

Trade in policy

Any buyer who wishes to trade a guitar bought here for another will receive a full credit for the purchase price towards one of the same or higher value within 30 days.  After that initial month, a buyer will receive 75% of the purchase price for a period of two years if replaced with another guitar of similar or greater value.  Guitars bought used will enjoy an 80% credit.  A very few guitars are available for a cash sale only, at the discretion of the dealer.

Chartwell Guitar celebrates the magic a fine, luthier built guitar produces. If you come to this site with excitement at finding something new or something quite special at a fair price, you share my founding impulse. I look forward to talking with you about making a guitar dream a reality.

Most folks who visit the Chartwell Guitar site already own a good, or even great, guitar.  Before moving on to a new instrument, the need to sell the older one(s) arises. I am happy to consign your guitar at a sliding scale, depending on price, but I am also willing to list your guitar for sale while you keep it at home and enjoy it. Please contact me about this sort of consignment.  My goal is to enhance the marketplace and my site with a large array of great guitars, so if I can help in a way that doesn't mean you have to part with your guitar before it sells, I'll try to be of service. I will also consign at a reduced rate for anyone who buys from me, which is likely the best way for you to maximize the value of your current guitar. I only stipulate the guitar you trade is commensurate with the instruments on the site.
